Rwanda (Uganda) End-Time Glory Ministry Team |
I was excited about going back to Rwanda. I had been to Rwanda in September of 2006 and the love that I had in my heart for Rwanda only grew. It was obvious to me that God had a special message for Rwanda. The message was from Is. 60:1 "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee."
"Arise" means "to get up, accomplish, continue, make good, stirrup." God was calling the people of Rwanda to arise out of their depression and the things that have bent them over and held them down. It was not the time to be controlled by their circumstance or their past, but it was time to rise up to a new life and shine with His Glory and accomplish the things God had set before them.
Service after service the message was heard loud and clear. It was time to let go of the bitter and painful past, to let go of their enemies through forgiveness and God would bring healing and restoration. The past was very painful and impossible to forget or forgive without God. More than 100,000 Rwandans were murdered within 100 days after the genocide began when the president Habyarisnano of Rwanda and President Ntaryamia of Burundi were killed after their plane was shot down. People were tortured, mutilated, and raped before their bodies were killed.
There were many highlights of times when God manifested His presence so wonderfully, but one time that stands out to me was when we were beginning the second day of the pastor's conference in Rwanda... We were about to move into the first session of teaching when suddenly the healing presence of God filled the room. I began to call out healings by Word of Knowledge... people were healed by the power of God. One young man, who said he did not plan to come but believed that God led him to the meeting, came to the front paralyzed on the left side of his body because of a curse that had been put on him by his father as a young boy. The curse was broken, God touched him and he was totally healed. He ran to the back of the room and began jumping and praising God... It was so unbelievable to him. When I asked him to testify, he wept at first not even able to say a word... He was so grateful after suffering for so many years with one side of his body being numb. God is great and greatly to be praised!
The altars were filled each service with the children, youth, men and women as they laid down their lives, surrendering all and crying out to God to have His way. At a Sunday morning service, the Glory fell and even some of the children were on their faces before God. At the youth conference, the youth were so radically changed after God touched them that they began to run and shout, not being able to contain what had just been imparted within them. It was an amazing sight to behold... I had never seen anything like it. I knew in my heart that this was the generation that would stop at nothing until they became all that God had called them to be and accomplished all that God had for them.
Rwanda will arise and shine. God always has set times to move and this is His set time to favor Rwanda. "Thou shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come." Ps. 102:13 KJV It is the season for God's supernatural favor. God's glory will be seen upon Rwanda! |
