Wow!! This September 2007, seven of us traveled to Tanzania for an amazing time of ministering in the Glory of the Lord. We first traveled back to Maisome Island, located off the Tanzania side of Lake Victoria. It was so wonderful to be back in Bugombe, the village we ministered in last year. While last time, we had no idea what to expect, this year, we could hardly wait to return, and when our ferry pulled into shore, our hearts leaped within us!
The services were great in Bugombe (pronounced “Boo-GOMB-bay”). In our outdoor meetings and at our pastors and leaders conference, we saw many people compelled by the Gospel to give their lives to Jesus, and so many were healed. A woman, blind for one year, received her sight. An older man, who couldn’t stand straight and had to use a cane to walk, was healed and no longer needed his cane. One woman heard about our meetings and came for healing. She felt a wind blowing upon her, and her extreme shortness of breath and weakness immediately left her body. Hallelujah!
Our last day on the island, we traveled by small boat to a village named Kabiga, on another part of the island. Kabiga is a epicenter for witchcraft on the Maisome Island, and there are very deep levels of the craft operating there. The morning we were supposed leave, dark rain clouds rolled in, and it started to rain. When clouds like these gather, it rains hard for many days, and we knew we would not be able to travel across the water in weather like this. Often, those in witchcraft control the weather in order to disrupt or stop work for Jesus. So we took authority over the rain in the Name of Jesus, and the rain stopped. During the entire day, it only rained once, and then it was only a very light sprinkle. Our friend, Pastor James from Bugombe, was absolutely amazed- he said that the rain never stopped like that. Praise God!
When we pulled into the village, climbed out of our boat and marched right into town, we came with such a prevailing peace and presence of God. The people of Kabiga had never had a white person preach, let alone a white woman. When Debra began to minister, the healing presence of God manifested, and as she called out the words of different healings, nearly 100% of the people were healed without anyone touching them. A woman who had suffered 20 years of pain, left the meeting totally pain-free, and another woman who had suffered with a burning pain in her stomach for 30 years, said that she felt like cold water was being poured in her stomach, and all the burning vanished. Many other people were healed of their sicknesses, and the people gathered for the meeting shouted and praised God for all He was doing.
The most exciting thing about our meeting in Kabiga is that while people were being healed, a young woman came forward and asked if she give her life to Jesus. Another person came forward, then another and another, until 27 people stood in a line, ready to surrender to the wonderful God who loves them and heals them. Pastors were removing fetishes from the peoples’ wrists and necks, the church people were rejoicing as these people entered into the Kingdom of God.

So many miraculous things happened during this trip. Concerning the children’s home and radio station we are preparing to build, we experienced the favor of God in such an amazing way that we could hardly wrap our brains around it.
It all started back in 2004, when Debra had ministered in the small village of Bukumbi, in another region of Tanzania. The last day of their meetings in Bukumbi, Debra was introduced to a government official, Dr. James Msekela, who was a friend of the pastor there, Pastor Jonas.
Fast forward to 2007- Pastor Richard, our close friend and working partner in Tanzania, told Pastor Jonas about End-Time Glory’s vision for the children’s home and radio station. Pastor Jonas then shared the vision with the Honorable Dr. James Msekela, who is now the Governor over the Mwanza province. Very interested in End-Time Glory’s plans, The Honorable Governor invited Debra, Pastor Richard and his wife, as well as the whole team to his home for an evening meal with him and his wife. This invitation was not only a very special honor for us, but Pastor Richard informed us that something like this just does not happen. The favor of God was opening doors for us!
We spent a very lovely evening in the company of the Honorable Governor and his family, and when it was time for us to say good night, we left with a gift from the Governor of 30 acres of our choosing, along the shoreline of Lake Victoria! To have the Lord pour out His favor and blessing upon us in this way overwhelmed us. We were speechless. What would have taken much time, much money, and a lot of red tape, God supplied in a few days. We were a grateful, grateful people as we thought and talked about what God had done for us.
But God wasn’t finished! The next days were spent in outdoor evangelistic meetings and various conferences. We faced some difficulties during the outdoor meetings that could have stopped what God wanted to do, but Debra and the team pressed through, and we saw people saved, healed and delivered in the Name of Jesus.
We also held a pastors and leaders conference, a youth conference and a women’s conference in the city of Mwanza. The turnout for the pastors and leaders conference was wonderful. There were many pastors there that hadn’t been there the year before. The team gave excellent teachings on topics such as compassionate leadership, integrity in finances, and the Presence of God. Debra taught on moving in the prophetic, and then she taught on the Glory realm. Almost everyone came to the altar in response to Debra’s invitation to be a person and church of God’s presence- a people of God’s Glory.
There were many young people at the youth conference, and when they came forward at Debra’s invitation to the altar, they were so broken. The team and Debra ministered over them, and spoke the Word of the Lord over them, they wept. Then Debra ministered over the worship team. This worship team was like no other worship team we had seen in Africa. They had a raw passion and fresh edge to them, and there was a radicalness for Jesus that could be seen and heard as they led praise and worship. Debra spoke over them, and they wept before the Lord. We saw God raising them to another level, even while we were there.
Our last evening of ministry was the women’s conference. We were blessed by the turnout for this conference, and all of us were so honored and blessed to have the Honorable Governor’s wife join us for the conference. The women on our team taught on walking in the authority God has given you for your home, family, and nation; they spoke on walking into God’s destiny, and living a pure and holy life. Then Debra spoke to the women. She shared with the women the difficult things that she had went through in her own life, and how she had fixed her eyes on Jesus and pressed through. She talked to the women about how they are called to change their nation. When she ministered over the women at the altar, they wept before the Lord. We heard after the conference that women were saying that they could never have received from God anywhere else, what they received from Him at this conference.
Our time in Tanzania this September was packed with days of experiencing God’s exceedingly wonderful goodness, as He poured out His love and unfolded His purposes to us. As He moved mountains and opened doors, we found Him fine-tuning us, that we would be a people who would hear and obey Him, no matter what the cost. He was perfecting us in character on this trip, that we might be able to carry a greater measure of His awesome Glory in the days ahead. We left Tanzania with full hearts as we praised God for all He had done, and all He is yet to do!
