Children of Destiny Project - Another Perspective By Christine Wentzel - Lake Lillian, Minnesota
Last May, my husband Shannon and I were privileged to accompany Wayne and Debra to meet with the Engineering Ministries International Team in Tanzania at the property that is owned by End-Time Glory Ministries. As future managers of the Children of Destiny project we were thrilled to be a part of the planning, and to get a feel for the area, and to see where we will live one day with our family. Both Shannon and I have been to Tanzania before but never together.

EMI is a ministry that organizes groups of professional architects, designers, and engineers who volunteer their time and abilities to help other ministries whose goals are to serve the poor. The simple fact that ETGM was chosen to be served by the group is incredible but the timing ended up being a work of God as well when a previously scheduled ministry ended up postponing their services and a spot opened up. It was an incredible opportunity for Shannon and me, as future property managers of the Children of Destiny project.

The week was a whirlwind of activity, visiting the property, meetings to discuss ETGM's vision and trips out into the community. The need for what ETGM is planning is so great in Tanzania. There are street children easily seen in Mwanza and there is such an incredibly poor village near the land. The time with EMI culminated in a meeting Saturday morning where EMI shared through a Power Point presentation with all of us what had been accomplished in those few short days. It was amazing to see what they had done and watching the vision of ETGM come forth on paper. On Sunday we attended worship at Pastor Richard's church. There is incredible freedom in the worship and it is easy to see that Wayne and Debra are dearly loved here.

We are thankful for the opportunity we had to deepen our love for the country and people of Tanzania. We greatly look forward to the day when we are serving them full time and sharing God's love with the children and widows of the area. "Religion that our God accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27, NIV
