In May of 2009 we met with EMI (Engineering Ministries International) in Mwanza,Tanzania, for the purpose of drawing up the plans and blueprints for the Children of Destiny project. We are so excited to finally be moving forward with this project that has been in our heart for about 5 years. The vision for this project is in response to the growing number of children being affected by the AIDS crisis. After losing their parents to the disease, many of the nation's children end up living on the streets, and some are forced into begging or prostitution with no hope for a future. For them, survival means doing anything for some food to make it one more day and surviving means one more day of being unloved, unwanted and forgotten. But Jesus has not forgotten them. He desires a place of love for these children to grow and thrive and live. We feel God has called ETGM to build such a place.
Each child at the Children of Destiny compound will be cared for by a loving "mama" in a home of eight children, having their dream of belonging to a family fulfilled as we also provide for the needs of widows. All of the children will be equipped physically and spiritually to reach their potential and impact their nation.
Currently End-Time Glory Ministries owns 22 acres of property near Mwanza overlooking Lake Victoria and is seeking to purchase an additional 12 acres to establish 24 children's homes, Christian schools (primary, secondary, and vocational), a medical clinic, church, Bible training center, radio station, and a well for the nearby villages.
Our vision is large, but God is a God of large vision. We are simply taking God at His word and running with Him in all of this. We want to share this vision with you, because we can't do it alone.
